Proud Sister

My little sister has been going to school for 10 years now. It was her high school prom last week and now she just graduated from high school. I didn't think much about it at the time because lately a lot of things keep me busy. Then  I started to realize that soon my sister would be off to college. My sister and I have a 12 year age gap difference. She is the youngest of the three siblings. So I'm really more like an "Ate" to her.

I remember those times that I would often scold her because she always hang out with her friends and her grades are slipping. I know I had my share of faults because I wasn't able to look after her classes. We used to do a lot of explaining to her that she needs to finish school and get a college degree to get good paying jobs. That she is very lucky to have our mom to support her in college. We know she can do better, she used to be an A student during grade school. It just that it's her lack of self discipline and our lack of guidance as well.

Finally after those struggles, We're just so happy she seems to be more focus in getting good grades. She seems to be following Bro. Bo's advices as well during his Sunday's talk. I must say that my sister is enjoying Bro. Bo's talks and she is very persistent in attending our regular worship at the PICC. I know that she has her dreams as well and that's what keeps her motivated. She just took college entrance exams and still waiting for the results. My prayer is for her to be enrolled in one of the best schools that we may have the means to support her and that she may be happy and successful in her chosen field.

Because of our family weekly dates at The Feast, my sister and I are pretty close right now. Aside from regular dining and malling, I was her stylist for her last week's prom. I even help her choose her dress for the prom and personally had her make up done. I've got a message for you my little sister, Congratulations! As your elder sister, I promise that I'd always look after you to guide and to help you. Duties and responsibilities go hand in hand. It's time to take even more responsible decisions. We know you can achieve whatever you want in life.  All you got to do is believe that you can. We believe in you. No matter where you go or how successful you become, never lose faith in God. We're so proud of you. Best of luck for your future!

Gift of Service

Photo taken last February during my first service at The Feast PICC together with my family and friends.

Just came home from a 2-hour rehearsal at 8th notes studio for Sunday's service. And now I'm listening to a new set of songs for tomorrow rehearsals for Grand Easter Feast on March 31st at SMX Convention Center. I never thought that I would enjoy rehearsing spiritual songs but it seems like I'm so inspired and ready to be blessed for this back to back service.

Just to give you a brief history of myself, I've been a regular attendee of "The Feast" every Sunday together with my family and friends. We've been attending mass and lively worship at the PICC since October of 2012 and then I decided to join "The Feast-PICC Chorus" come February of 2012. For those of you who are not familiar with The Feast, it is a weekly gathering of the Light of Jesus (LOJ) Family, founded by Bro. Bo Sanchez, aimed at celebrating and spreading God's love through worship and inspirational talks.

Bo Sanchez is an author, entrepreneur, preacher and lay evangelist in the Philippines. He is widely known for his best selling books mostly on spirituality and entrepreneurship. He wants Christians to gain financial freedom, so they can provide for their own family and also give generously to the Kingdom of God.  One of his best selling book is "My Maid Invest In The Stock Market", he narrates how he helped his two maids and his driver invest in the stock market and save for the future by tracking where their money should go.  This book teaches a lot of readers the value of saving and investing for their future by taking good care of their financial blessings. And most importantly, by being financially free, we could then be a more effective instrument of the Lord to the people by believing that the ultimate purpose of wealth is to love and serve others.

Through his books , I consider Bro. Bo Sanchez as my spiritual and financial mentor and a friend to thousands of people as well. He never fails to inspire me and encourage me what God wanted me to do. This whole idea of joining the music ministry is made possible through his inspirational talks that the Lord wants us to enjoy our talents, but he also expects us to use our gifts that he gave us for the enjoyment and benefit of others and to build the kingdom of God.

New Beginnings

I love new beginnings. A fresh start is just, well, so fresh and new and clean. Just like this blog that I always wanted to write but for lack of time, I never did, until now. A lot of beautiful things is happening right now so I decided to create this blog so I would be able to look back at any day of the year some of the most important events that would happen in my life. Time moves surprisingly fast so it will serve as my photo diary and to improve my photography skills as well. This is also another way of recalling memories from the people I've met and what I've learned. I understand that others are saying that it's not good for us to dwell in the past and we should all look towards the future. However, I think sometimes reflecting on the past is important as we may have forgotten the moments that taught us life's important lessons. As I moved with different stages of my life whether it would be career, relationships, financial and spiritual, I realized that good things fall apart so better things can fall together.
